Dr. Wong was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta (we try not to hold that against him). After high school, he graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences Degree (BMedSci) and a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.

He practiced in Edmonton as well as Grande Prairie as a general dentist. During these years, he realized that his passion in dentistry was with the pediatric population and decided to become a specialist. He did his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the British Columbia Children’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia completing a Master of Science in Craniofacial Science Degree (MSc) and a Diploma in Pediatric Dentistry (Dip. Ped).

Dr. Wong is a Board-Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCD(C)) and is an active member of the Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (CAPD) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).

Dr. Wong’s calm demeanour helps patients to feel relaxed and gains their trust by taking time to get to know each child individually. He enjoys educating them and their families on how to create a lifetime of healthy dental habits.

In their spare time, Dr. Wong and his wife Sara, enjoy travelling and exploring the Rocky Mountains and connecting with their extended families.
